Push-to-Talk Cable Details:
If you work in a secure location, controlling when your headset microphone is active, and transmitting is critical. With this Push-to-Talk (PTT) device you have an inline button that by default, will not transmit. When you are ready to transmit you press and hold the button down to active the microphone and allow your caller to hear you.
This cable comes with a standard Jabra Quick-Disconnect (QD) cable to easily connect to any of Jabra’s BIZ 1500, BIZ 2300 or BIZ 2400 business grade headsets with a matching quick disconnect.
Connecting this cable with a headset that offers a noise-canceling microphone will further control what your caller hears from you and your background. Typical noise canceling headsets will cut down on approximately 75% of your background noise, allowing callers to hear your voice clearly and not be distracted with people talking or other distracting noise in your immediate environment.
The Jabra PTT cable uses a standard TRRS 3.5mm plug used with PC’s and laptops. When communicating via a softphone, you will set the headset to be your default speaker and microphone within your software.
This cable is not intended for use with cell phones or mobile devices.
