The Plantronics HW251N headset has set the standard for every application and location size ranging from single individuals to large call centers. Being durable, lightweight, and compatible with any application has made the HW251N the most popular headset for the last decade. By covering one ear, users are able to stay in touch with their surrounding environment and easily talk with co-workers. The noise-canceling microphone will reduce background noise by as much as 75%, ensuring your caller hears your voice clearly over any distracting background noise you may have.

With the Plantronics Quick Disconnect, HW251N headsets will plug into an amplifier or direct-connect cable, which then plugs into your telephone. You can also connect a USB audio processor to the headset for PC applications and VoIP softphones.

The HW251N headset gives you an adjustable headband, soft foam ear cushion (leatherette ear cushions are sold separately), and an adjustable microphone allowing you to find the perfect fit for all-day wearing comfort. As with any headset, the microphone can rotate, making the headset wearable on either your right or left ear.

    The whole reason for this purchase was to have some additional noise reduction (did not expect noise CANCELLING, just noise reduction) via a combination of this head set and the full earpiece….. not even close!!!!! The 720 I already have is better than this.

    Disappointed.

    HDI: Headsets with noise canceling will reduce background noise up to 75% according to the manufacturer. This is related to the microphone and how much noise your caller hears. It is impossible for a headset to eliminate background noise (baby crying or dog barking) completely, but will dampen the noise. In this situation the HW261N covering both ears with optional circumnaural ear cushions would have been the recommended solution.
